The workshop, held at Metsä Tissues Surrey Head Office, offered an insight into the Katrin product range as well as Metsä Tissue’s approach to sustainability and how savings can be made through use of its range of Katrin Hygiene products.

Health & Safety First at Futures Supplies

Futures Supplies is committed to the continual training and development of its team, especially when it comes to Health and Safety.

We are delighted that our Warehouse Manager, David Wilder and Office Manager, Andy Hills  recently completed their refresher first aid training with St John Ambulance and both have passed with flying colours.The course was a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical sessions designed to develop

St John Ambulance is the nation’s leading first aid charity and has been has been saving lives since 1877. Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through their training programmes. Constantly campaigning to raise awareness of first aid and directly educate the public, their volunteers provide first aid in the community, keeping people safe at events and working alongside the NHS in response to 999 calls.

Free Online COSHH Learning and Assessment Facility

evans-footer-logoWe are delighted to make available to you the ROSPA approved ‘Hazardous Substance Course’ which is available for customers who purchase and use Evans Vanodine products.

The course is FREE for all users of Evans products and offers a multilingual option.

Lasting between 20 and 30 minutes users can exit the course at any point and progress will be saved to enable you to return and complete the course at a later date.

Evans COSHH TrainingUsers must achieve a pass rate of 80% to pass the course.

If they fail the test, they can re-visit any section to refresh their learning before re-taking the test. Once users pass the test, they can save or print their certificate.

New Assistant Nathalie Joins The Dynamic Futures Supplies Team

natThe latest member to join the Sales Support team, Nathalie Balfe is already demonstrating her key skills in customer support and back office administration under the watchful eye of Leiann Kemp, Customer Service Manager & PA to the CEO.

As part of the Sales Administration team and working alongside Leiann, Nathalie has quickly become a valued member of our young, dynamic and motivated team.

In her role, Nathalie is responsible for supporting and liaising with customers and prospective customers, maintaining the company’s ACT database and supporting the sales team in their day to day roles.

Nathalie says, “I have been made to feel very welcome at Futures Supplies and I enjoy interacting with the customers very much. Hopefully, I can continue to grow within the team and gain more experience in all areas of the business.”

 

Metsa Training Academy Delivers Cost In Use Solutions

Hot on the heels of Amy Whittle and Trish Carr, who attended the very first Katrin Training Academy, Leiann Kemp, Customer Service Manager and DanielRendall, Business Development Manager were delighted to be invited to attend the interactive sessions for the day which included presentations, videos and practical exercises.

The Katrin Academy, which is based at the head office premises of Metsa Tissue in Walton on Thames, opened its doors to its key suppliers to deliver product training designed to be about learning through practical example.

Both Leiann and Daniel agreed that the training programme was excellent and that the knowledge gained will assist in delivering and exceeding customer expectations when recommending cost in use and environmental solutions in the washroom.

As such, Victoria Goffin of ‘Coaching4Results’ has recently delivered an individual Customer Service Programme to all our team. A professional and established coach, Victoria tailored the programme to meet the needs of each department and individual to ensure continuity and a deeper understanding of each person’s role in delivering customer satisfaction.

Victoria said “It was very rewarding to work with people who really wanted to up their game and give their customers the best experience they could.”

Growth In Sales Brings New Opportunities

TrishWith its success in taking on apprentices and developing them into permanent staff, Futures Supplies has taken on yet another young person on a nine month apprenticeship in Business Administration.

Tricia Carr joins the sales team at Futures Supplies as Sales Support Assistant and will be responsible for liaising with customers and prospective customers, maintaining the company’s ACT database and supporting the sales team in their roles. At the same time, Tricia will carry out her NVQ training in business and administration, whilst gaining valuable work experience under the close supervision of Amy Whittle, Sales Manager.

A Young Apprentice Secures Full Time Employment

CallumAfter a successful nine-month apprenticeship with Futures Supplies, Callum Carvel has now taken up full time employment with the company.

We are delighted to offer Callum this opportunity as part of our commitment to our CSR project in supporting young people to get experience, qualifications and build their confidence to gain full time employment.

Callum’s role as our Purchase Ledger Assistant will see him working closely with both Marc Kemp Financial Director and Andy Hills, Office Manager.

 

After gaining an NVQ in Business and Administration whilst on his apprenticeship, Callum is now studying for an NVQ in Customer Service.

katrin academyTraining personnel has always been a key driver in continual staff development at Futures Supplies to ensure we meet and exceed our customers needs and this month saw the official launch of a brand new Katrin Training Academy.

Based at the head office premises of Metsa Tissue in Walton on Thames, the Katrin Academy is aimed at those selling washroom products or involved in Facilities Management and Contract Cleaning, and is designed to be about learning through practical example.

Amy Whittle, our Sales Manager and Trish in Sales Support were delighted to take part in the first official Academy programme which was extremely well received and won high praise from all those who attended, with sessions being interactive using a full range of Katrin tools including presentations, videos, practical exercises and online tools.
